Once submitted, our team will personally reach out to confirm availability, discuss your creative direction, and finalize your session design. To secure your date, a non-refundable retainer is required.

📸 Studio & Booking Policies

At Flash Photography, every portrait session is a personalized experience designed with care, creativity, and precision. To ensure a seamless and elevated experience for all clients, please review the following studio and booking policies before securing your session date.

🏙️ Studio & Location Options

In-Home Studio
All standard sessions take place at our private, in-home studio located in Brooklyn, NY 11233. This intimate space offers a refined and comfortable setting ideal for maternity, milestone, and portrait photography. Please note: the studio is not handicap accessible, and guest capacity is limited to three people total, including the person being photographed.

Rental Studio Option
For clients who prefer a larger or alternative setting, a professional rental studio can be arranged for an additional $699 fee. Rental studios are carefully selected to match your vision and are typically located close to your home or preferred area to minimize travel.

On-Location Sessions
If you wish to hold your session at an outdoor or on-location venue, you are responsible for obtaining all necessary permits, permissions, or access approvals required to photograph at that location. This includes both public and private spaces. If Flash Photography arrives at a location and we are denied access or asked to leave due to lack of proper authorization, no refunds or reshoots will be provided. We strongly encourage confirming location approvals in advance to ensure a smooth experience.

💄 Preparation & Punctuality

Shoot-Ready Requirement
All clients must arrive shoot-ready, with hair and makeup fully completed prior to arrival. Light touch-ups are permitted in the studio, but full styling or makeup application is not allowed. Arriving prepared ensures that your session runs smoothly and your portraits receive the time and attention they deserve.

Timeliness
Sessions begin and end as scheduled — no time extensions will be granted for late arrivals. For example, if you book a two-hour session and arrive an hour late, you will have one hour remaining. We highly recommend planning for NYC travel and parking delays to protect your time in front of the camera.

Grace Period & Late Arrivals
A 15-minute grace period is granted if you notify the photographer in advance. Clients arriving more than 30 minutes late, with or without notice, forfeit their session, and no payments will be refunded.

💰 Retainer, Payment & Cancellations

Booking Retainer
A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to secure your date. The remaining balance is due 14 days before your scheduled session.

Last-Minute Bookings
For sessions booked within 14 days of the shoot date, the full session balance is due upon booking and is 100% non-refundable.

Cancellations & Refunds
If you cancel more than 14 days prior to your session, any funds paid — excluding the non-refundable retainer — will be refunded.

Rescheduling
Clients are permitted one complimentary reschedule, subject to date availability. We will make every effort to accommodate your new preferred date, but reschedules are not guaranteed and must be requested at least 7 days in advance.
